US Central Command announced Tuesday evening that American forces have begun striking strategic targets belonging to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps inside Iranian territory. The military operation follows what CENTCOM described as repeated Iranian attempts to attack commercial vessels and American forces stationed in the Gulf region.

According to the official statement, the strikes mark a significant escalation in the ongoing confrontation between Washington and Tehran. Iranian media outlets reported a series of powerful explosions in several locations, including the port city of Bandar Abbas, as well as Sirik, Konarak, and Qeshm Island. The reports come hours after Iran launched ballistic missiles toward American military bases in the region.

In a rare security update issued to American citizens in Israel, the US Embassy in Jerusalem warned of the possibility of sudden escalation and heightened security tensions requiring special preparedness. The alert comes as US Central Command completed its twelfth consecutive night of extensive strikes on Iranian targets.

The American military operations have targeted missile storage facilities, unmanned aerial vehicles, coastal surveillance sites, and air defense assets belonging to the Revolutionary Guard. The embassy's warning reflects concern that the ongoing strikes could trigger a broader regional response from Iran or its allied forces.

Bandar Abbas has emerged as a focal point of American military activity in recent weeks. Days ago, US forces conducted what military officials described as a first-of-its-kind operation, using unmanned suicide vessels to strike targets within the port itself. The Corsair-class vessels maneuvered with surgical precision into the facility, directly hitting an Iranian submarine and maintenance infrastructure.

The port serves as a primary launching point for Revolutionary Guard naval operations, particularly efforts to disrupt international shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. Military analysts assess that damaging Iran's logistical capabilities in this area could significantly impair its ability to project maritime threats. The parallel developments, explosions in Bandar Abbas and the American embassy warning, signal that the region stands at a potential boiling point, with any further moves risking a broader escalation.
