German authorities opened an investigation Tuesday into a suspected sabotage attack on electrical infrastructure in the eastern state of Brandenburg, following an explosion at the Turnow-Preilack power station that caused damage to local power facilities.

According to local media reports, investigators discovered several "improvised rockets" and explosive devices at the scene, some of which failed to detonate. The rockets, believed to be homemade, were apparently designed to carry explosive materials and were aimed at the facility's electrical infrastructure. Police bomb disposal experts were called to the site to neutralize the unexploded devices and collect evidence.

Police officials said they have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the incident, with initial assessments suggesting the attack was intended to cause widespread disruption to the power station's operations or its electricity transmission. Following the attack, several transmission lines experienced brief outages, but all lines have since been restored to operation, and no widespread power cuts occurred in the region.
