Sarcastic Wreath Left at Winter's Home

Right-wing activists placed flowers outside the Amcha Yisrael party leader's residence, expressing frustration over his refusal to merge with other parties before the election deadline

Flower Wreath Left at Ofer Winter's Home in Apparent Sarcastic Protest

A flower wreath accompanied by a printed note was placed overnight Tuesday at the entrance to the home of Ofer Winter, chairman of the Amcha Yisrael party. The note read: "To Ofer Winter, thank you from the bottom of my heart! With great appreciation, Gali Baharav-Miara."

The arrangement, left by right-wing activists, appears to have been intended as a sarcastic expression of anger toward Winter among segments of right-wing voters. The frustration stems from his insistence on not joining forces with any other right-wing party before submitting his party's list to the Central Elections Committee. Critics fear this decision could result in tens of thousands of votes being wasted if the party fails to cross the electoral threshold.
