Former Bush Press Secretary Fleischer criticizes Trump administration's Iran ceasefire in response to Vance

Ari Fleischer, White House Press Secretary under President Bush, responded to Vice President J.D. Vance's post attributing Republican midterm losses partly to the Iran war. Fleischer argued the problem was not the war itself but the ceasefire, stating: "If you start a war, you must win it and bring it to a conclusion." He contended the war should have ended six months ago when the Strait of Hormuz was open, with Iran's leadership eliminated and pro-Western forces supported. Fleischer criticized the administration for hesitating at a decisive moment, saying they had a chance to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons and eliminate state-sponsored terror but instead reached a ceasefire followed by months of uncertainty.
