Former CIA officer pleads guilty to $200 million fraud and espionage
David Rush, 49, a former CIA officer, has pleaded guilty to orchestrating a $200 million fraud scheme against the U.S. government through fake contracts and real estate transactions. He also admitted to passing classified secrets to a foreign government, which prosecutors said could have caused "grave damage" to national security. Rush was arrested after authorities discovered hundreds of gold bars at his residence. Under the plea agreement, he must pay restitution and forfeit luxury properties, vehicles, and watches.
