Hamas Flag, Explosive Device Found in Binyamin Region

A suspect object was discovered overnight in the Binyamin region, attached to a Hamas terror organization flag on an access road near Har Ba'al Chatzor. Following the report, officers from the Binyamin station in the Judea and Samaria (Shay) District were dispatched to the scene together with Border Police sappers from Judea and Samaria, secured by an IDF force.

Border Police sappers completed professional handling of the object and carried out a controlled detonation. After the explosion, it was determined that the device was a dummy charge that had been placed at the location. According to the police spokesperson, an investigation has been opened in the Shay District to clarify the circumstances of the incident.

The police spokesperson stated: "Last night, a report was received regarding a suspect object attached to a 'Hamas' terror organization flag on an access road near Har Ba'al Chatzor in the Binyamin region. Consequently, officers from the Binyamin station in the Shay District were dispatched to the scene together with Border Police sappers from Judea and Samaria, secured by an IDF force, who completed the professional handling and carried out a controlled detonation of the object, which was determined to be a dummy charge."

The incident joins a series of similar cases that have occurred in recent months in Judea and Samaria, in which suspect objects and dummy charges were discovered placed on roads and in populated areas. Security forces continue operational activity to remove threats and thwart terror activity in the region.
