House Democratic Leader Jeffries says House won't function as Trump administration subsidiary

House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries declared that Democrats work for the American people, not Donald Trump, JD Vance, or the Supreme Court. "The days of the House functioning like a wholly owned subsidiary of the Trump administration are over," Jeffries stated. He added that he has not heard from President Trump, and his understanding is that Leader Schumer has not heard from Trump either.
