IDF and ISA eliminate senior Hamas military intelligence chief who held Israeli hostage
The IDF and ISA eliminated Jamal Abu Saeed, Head of Operations in Hamas' military intelligence wing, in an airstrike in Gaza City earlier this week. Abu Saeed held Israeli hostage Omer Shem Tov in captivity during the war. He held senior positions within Hamas over the years, including overseeing training of operatives outside Gaza, serving as an anti-tank battalion commander, and managing Hamas' relations with various countries. Throughout the war, Abu Saeed advanced terrorist plots against IDF troops and Israeli civilians while working to restore Hamas capabilities in violation of the ceasefire. Precision munitions and aerial surveillance were used to mitigate civilian harm.
