The IDF has launched a new online database disproving the global narrative of deliberate Israeli targeting of Gazan 'journalists,' revealing documented evidence that dozens of 'members of the press' were in fact terrorists.
The database's initial release includes detailed files on dozens of Hamas operatives who functioned as 'journalists' in local and international media. The IDF presents conclusive evidence of direct links to terror activity for the following people: Tareq al-Sayed Ismail Abu Sahil, presented as a journalist killed in the Shifa Hospital compound; Mohammed Manhal Ahmed Abu Armana, whose death prompted UN condemnation of Israel; Yacoub Anan Mohammed Borsh, who served as director of a radio station in the Strip; Mohammed Mahmoud Abd al-Aziz Abu Sharia, whose name was engraved on the Reporters Without Borders memorial in France; Amro Nahed Abd al-Rahman Abu Odeh, who worked as a photographer for the Reuters news agency; Mohammed Jamal Sabhi al-Thalathini, presented as a journalist for Al-Quds Al-Youm; Abd al-Aziz Mohammed Ibrahim Hajar, presented as a journalist; Hassan Majdi Ibrahim Abu Warda, presented as founder and director of the Barq Gaza news agency; and Assem Adly Ahmed Borsh, whose name was included in a complaint against Israel filed with the International Criminal Court.
The database contains photographs proving their connections to terror organizations in Gaza, comprehensive files on each individual including organizational affiliation, roles, training, and even personal identification numbers from the terror organizations in which they operated.
According to the IDF, this exposure is only the first stage, and additional files are being compiled and will be revealed shortly on the database regarding additional terror operatives claiming to function as journalists.
