A tour by Zehut party candidates near the Gaza border was abruptly cut short after security forces ordered the group to evacuate due to sniper threats.
Moshe Feiglin, head of the Zehut party and former Knesset member, was touring the area alongside the party's slate of candidates: Rabbi Yitzhak Zaaga, Omer Patsinash-Waldman, Arkady Motor, Roi Kirshberg, Sima Hason, and Shirel Nahir Lalom. The delegation had arrived to tour near the security fence in Gaza.
During the tour, security forces approached the group and instructed them to leave immediately, invoking a "closed military zone" order. The evacuation was ordered due to security sensitivities and concerns about sniper fire threats from the area. The participants were forced to evacuate despite the fact that the entire tour took place within sovereign Israeli territory, not beyond the fence or within any yellow line.
