IDF soldiers begin voting across all fronts for Israeli elections

IDF soldiers and commanders have started voting for the 26th Knesset, with approximately 850 military polling stations deployed across all sectors from Mount Hermon to Eilat, including in Lebanon, Syria, and the Gaza Strip. Voting began Wednesday, October 21st, 2026, and will continue until Election Day to enable all service members to cast their ballots. About a quarter of the polling stations are mobile units designed to reach regular-service personnel and active-duty reservists on every mission. IDF Elections Officer COL Vered Ben Yehuda stated the military's mission is to ensure all service members can exercise their democratic right to vote by secret ballot, including during operational activities and combat beyond the border.
