Senior Iranian officials have issued stark new threats directed at regional adversaries and the United States. Tehran appears emboldened following what it views as a successful deterrence of American strikes, with regime representatives now warning of an indefinite military campaign.
Mohammad Reza Naqdi, a high-ranking general in Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), recently spoke to state-controlled Iranian media outlets and declared that the Islamic Republic possesses the capacity to sustain military operations for as long as necessary.
"Even if this war continues for years, until the final day, Iranian missiles will continue to rain down on the heads of the enemy," Naqdi stated. "And even if a day comes when Iran has no more missiles left, that will be the period when we become even more dangerous to America."
The general went further, issuing what appeared to be a direct warning to Washington and its allies. "I suggest you don't test our commitment," he said. "America and the entire world have thousands of economic interests in our region. We will not hesitate to strike them all—each one can be destroyed easily."
