Mohammad Saeed Marandi, a figure closely connected to Iran's ruling establishment who advises senior regime officials, has issued a stark warning that the United States is preparing a coordinated "blitz" attack on Iran alongside regional allies and potentially Israel. Marandi cautioned that any renewed strike against Iranian territory would trigger widespread regional chaos.
Iran Warns of US-Israel Strike Plans
Regime-linked figures in Tehran claim security forces have intelligence on American and regional preparations for coordinated attack

Marandi holds a formal position as a professor of regional studies at Tehran University, but functions primarily as an advisor and senior spokesman for Iranian government bodies, including the Supreme National Security Council. He frequently appears in international media as a voice for regime leadership and is considered among the most well-connected figures to Iran's hardline factions, with his public statements widely understood to reflect the views of senior officials.
In a social media post, Marandi declared: "Iran is aware that forces of the 'Trump regime' in Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Jordan are preparing and positioning for a 'blitzkrieg' (rapid strike attack), possibly alongside 'Zionist' forces, against Iranian civilians." He added a warning that "the Islamic Republic stands ready to deliver a swift and crushing response to any such move."
