Iranian missile ready for launch

Brig. Gen. Hossein Mohabbi, spokesman for Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), has published an image of a ballistic missile launch. The English-language caption read: "The world will see what will happen!" The post came after Mohabbi threatened to turn Israel into "scorched earth" if Iran's energy infrastructure comes under attack.

Arutz Sheva reported that Mohabbi made the earlier threat on Sunday in a post on X. The platform later removed the post for violating its rules.

"Any attack on Iran's energy infrastructure, although it will immediately be repaired by our young scientists, will turn the occupied territories into scorched earth forever and drive its usurpers into the Sinai Desert," Mohabbi wrote. "The world will see what happens."

The IRGC warning followed a series of threats exchanged between Iranian officials and US President Donald Trump. The exchange began after Trump publicly endorsed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ahead of Israel's October 27 Knesset election.

In a Truth Social post addressed to Israeli voters, Trump called Netanyahu "a Great Warrior Prime Minister, and an even greater Partner for Peace in combatting the Islamic Republic of Iran." He wrote that Iran had been "systematically destroyed, both Militarily and Financially, and unless they change their ways, rapidly, we will soon finish the job."

Trump also tied future American action to the outcome of the Israeli vote. "If Israel has the wrong Leader, which would be anyone other than Bibi, America will have to do this work ourselves, and I am not inclined to do so," he warned.

Earlier on Sunday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi responded to Trump's suggestion that Washington could strike Iran again. "Last time you wanted to 'finish the job', Iran emerged even stronger. Want to try your luck again? Be our guest. But be careful; we have unfinished jobs too," Araghchi wrote on social media.

Araghchi also accused Netanyahu of pulling the United States into a new confrontation with Tehran for personal political reasons. "Netanyahu is driving America into another war to stay out of jail, whatever the consequences for Israel-let alone POTUS," he wrote.

The threats come as Iran rebuilds its missile force. On October 15, Israeli security officials said Iran now has at least 400 operational missile launchers. Before Operation Roaring Lion in February, it had 420.
