Iran Rebuilds Launcher Force to 400

Iran has at least 400 operational missile launchers • The figure is close to its pre-war total | Most of the recovery came over recent months

Iranian missile ready for launch

Iran now has at least 400 operational missile launchers, Israeli security officials told Israel's Channel 16. Before Operation Roaring Lion in February, Iran had 420.

Over recent months, Iran has restored a significant portion of its missile-launching capabilities, the officials said.

The launchers are part of a larger arsenal aimed at Israel. As JFeed reported, Western intelligence assessments published in October by Bloomberg and other outlets found that Iran kept about 70% of its ballistic missile stockpile. That amounts to some 1,800 to 2,000 missiles with the range to reach Israel.

The same assessments found that around 60% of Iran's launchers and 40% of its attack drones survived. Iran had dispersed its production lines and storage depots deep underground, in facilities carved into hard granite mountains.

Those findings contradicted official US and Israeli statements that Iran's missile and drone production infrastructure had been destroyed. The assessments described Iran's manufacturing and assembly capacity as still operating and able to replenish the arsenal relatively quickly.
