Israel is experiencing an intense heat wave on Tuesday, with clear skies across most of the country. Temperatures remain significantly above seasonal averages, with dry conditions in the mountainous and inland areas and high humidity along the coastal plain. Heavy to extreme heat stress continues to affect most regions of the country. Nighttime conditions are expected to be clear to partly cloudy.
The Israel Meteorological Service has issued a red alert—its highest warning level—for heat stress in several eastern regions: the Beit She'an Valley, the Kinneret (Sea of Galilee) basin, the Jordan Valley, northern Judean Desert and Dead Sea area, southern Judean Desert and Dead Sea area, and the Arava region.
According to the forecast, Wednesday will see mostly clear skies with a slight drop in temperatures, particularly in the mountainous and inland areas. However, conditions will remain hotter than normal and dry in the hills and interior, with oppressive humidity continuing along the coast. Heavy to extreme heat stress will persist across most of the country.
Thursday's forecast calls for clear to partly cloudy skies with another slight temperature decrease, mainly in mountainous and inland regions. Temperatures will still be somewhat above seasonal norms in the hills and interior, with continued humidity along the coast. Heat stress levels will remain heavy to extreme in most areas.
