Rona-Lee Shimon wanted to save herself the headache of finding parking in Tel Aviv. The Israeli dancer and actress decided to leave the car behind and take the bus with her infant son Yonatan and his stroller, but what was meant to make the day easier ended in an unpleasant confrontation with the driver.
Actress: Bus driver told me "shut up"
Rona-Lee Shimon took the bus with her infant son to avoid parking hassles in Tel Aviv, but says the driver's reckless speed nearly threw them from the stroller, and when she protested, he told her to be quiet

"So I decided to make things easy on myself today and treat myself to the buses. That way I don't have to look for parking and everything's easy and pleasant," Shimon shared on her Instagram account. But then, she says, she boarded route 82 in Tel Aviv and the experience changed completely.
"We nearly flew out with the stroller"
Shimon claimed the driver was speeding and driving in a way that endangered passengers. "Until I got on this genius's bus, number 82 in Tel Aviv, with a driver who drives like someone's chasing him while putting passengers at insane risk. We nearly flew out with the stroller," she wrote.
When she voiced her objection to the driver, she says, she received a response she did not expect to hear: "And he even said to me: 'Shut up and sit quietly.'"
Shimon did not settle for sharing the experience and turned directly to the Dan bus company: "I expect an immediate response to this disgrace." Because she could not find the company's official Instagram account, she also asked her followers to help her locate it.
The trip with her son Yonatan
In July 2025, Shimon became a mother to Yonatan, whom she brought into the world as a single mother. Since then she has shared from time to time on social media moments from her new life as a mother, and this time it was a far less pleasant moment.
