Israeli election count shows right-wing bloc with seat advantage as duplicate ballots tallied
As counting of duplicate-envelope ballots continues, the right-wing bloc holds a 3-2 advantage in seat allocation. Shas is expected to lose a seat to Likud. Bennett and Lapid currently lead the Joint List by one seat, which would make Bennett opposition leader if a unity government forms, granting him security briefings instead of Yousef Jabareen. The increased number of disability votes has reduced soldiers' votes' impact, making dramatic shifts unlikely. The change bloc and Ra'am are projected to have more seats than Netanyahu's bloc, but would still require the Joint List to abstain to form a minority government—the only feasible scenario for such a government, though considered unlikely.
