Coalition Talks

"Abbas Must Be Brought Into Coalition"

Broadcaster Nadav Perry declared on air that if the parties forming a Zionist change coalition reach 61 seats, Mansour Abbas must unequivocally be brought in

Journalist Nadav Perry addressed the possibility of a change bloc securing 61 Knesset seats during a broadcast on Radio 103FM.

"If somehow the parties that make up the Zionist change coalition have 61 mandates, Mansour Abbas must unequivocally be brought in," Perry stated. "An extremely important voice that brings us closer to some ability to maintain long-term coexistence with the Arab citizens of the State of Israel."

According to a Channel 12 News report, Bedouin local council heads in the north who met with Yashar party chairman Gadi Eisenkot claimed that Eisenkot promised them he would include Ra'am in the next government.

Eisenkot's office responded sharply: "A lie and falsehood. These words were never said, not even by hint."

The statement outlined Yashar's clear position on coalition partnership, which will only be possible with parties that meet three foundational principles known to the public:

1. Recognition of the values of the Declaration of Independence.

2. Recognition of the State of Israel as a Jewish and democratic state.

3. [IDF] service for all.

The party also emphasized that parties which do not recognize Hamas as a terror organization that the State of Israel is obligated to destroy will not be part of any government they form.
