Gotliev: Ex-Prosecutor Has Info on Miara

In a social media post, MK Tali Gotliev alleged that a former senior military official possesses information about Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara and criticized IDF Chief Herzi Halevi

Knesset Member Tally Gotliv claimed Thursday that a former military prosecutor has significant information regarding Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara and her associates. In her social media statement, she leveled sharp accusations against senior civil service leadership and also criticized IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir and former defense official Ofer Winter.

"The former military prosecutor, who still holds the rank of major general with all accompanying benefits, also possesses extensive information about the dismissed attorney general Miara and her close associate," she wrote, referring to Baharav-Miara, who has not actually been dismissed from her position.

She went on to allege that various parties worked to protect the former prosecutor and ease her situation. She framed this as a serious accusation against senior civil service officials: "Everyone, absolutely everyone, joined together to protect her and make things easier for her. This is what corrupt quid pro quo relationships look like among the senior civil service leadership."

In another portion of her post, she addressed the possibility of serving as defense minister. She stated that if the position were hers, she would act to remove Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir from his post.

"If I were defense minister, I would dismiss the insolent Chief of Staff Zamir, who continues to show contempt for the government and prime minister and echoes political messages that weaken and blacken the government's reputation," she wrote. She added: "But I am not the defense minister. And it's a shame, by the way, that I'm not."

Gotliev also directed criticism toward Winter, a former senior defense official. According to her statement, he does not speak out against what she termed "rule by bureaucrats," nor does he acknowledge that the Supreme Court has harmed national security and the IDF's resilience.

"And if anyone thinks Winter knows anything about bureaucratic rule, then absolutely not. And if anyone thinks Winter is capable of saying out loud that the Supreme Court has harmed state security and the IDF's resilience, then absolutely not," she wrote.

She continued by stating that while Winter was "a tremendous commander," he is incapable of speaking out against senior military and intelligence leadership. She concluded with another attack: "Winter is just another polite, 'statesmanlike' right-winger that the left loves so much."
