The couple said a casual conversation about a football shirt turned hostile after they identified themselves as Jewish and criticized Irish government positions on Israel. The man allegedly responded by saying he was sorry Hitler had not "finished the job."
When the couple began filming, video footage captured him threatening them, telling them to leave or he would put "a f****ing bullet" in their heads. The Holocaust reference itself was not captured in the circulated clip; only the death threat portion was widely distributed.
