On Motzei Shabbos (17 October), an Israeli went live on social media and spoke in Arabic with a Muslim man from Syria. What began as an ordinary conversation quickly turned into a stream of hatred and severe threats against the State of Israel and the Jewish people.
Early in the exchange, the Syrian asked: "Do you know what my favourite drink is?" When asked what, he answered without hesitation: "Blood of Jews."
That was only the beginning. As the conversation continued, he began issuing threats against Israel: "Listen, you know, I know and everyone knows that our war with you is coming."
When asked whether they were planning a massacre in Israel like the one on 7 October, he denied it. But moments later he made an explicit threat: "If I could enter Israel now, I and one other with me would turn Israel upside down, we would turn you to ash."
