With just two and a half months remaining until Israel's elections, Avigdor Liberman, head of the Israel Beiteinu party, has issued a public appeal to opposition leaders calling for an end to internal rivalries and a unified focus on their shared objective.
Liberman emphasized that cooperation within the opposition camp must take precedence over personal ambitions. "There will be no alliances within the opposition against one another," he stated. "There will be no scheming and no drama. We are all mature adults who know how to make decisions with judgment and responsibility. Therefore, the day after the elections, we will know how to work things out with each other."
The veteran politician outlined two central principles that he said must guide the opposition bloc moving forward:
"A. The primary goal is replacing the coalition of draft dodgers led by Goldknopf, Deri, and Netanyahu.
B. Not falling into Netanyahu's trap, which seeks to distract from the essential issues: responsibility for the October 7th massacre, the inability to achieve decisive victory on any front and three years of a war of attrition, the loss of governance and rampant crime in Israel's streets, the strategic failure regarding the new Sunni alliance of Pakistan, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia, and the failure with the United States, which is deciding to approve uranium enrichment on Saudi soil and supply F-35 aircraft to Turkey."
Liberman concluded with a direct message to his political partners: "Therefore, I am calling once again on all opposition leaders to focus on what matters and stop the campaigns and briefings against one another."
