Israel's Meteorological Service has issued a series of weather warnings as severe to extreme heat conditions are forecast to affect most parts of the country in the coming days.

According to the forecast, temperatures will remain significantly above seasonal averages through Wednesday. Mountainous and inland areas will experience hot, dry conditions, while coastal regions will face high humidity. Eastern parts of the country are expected to see particularly extreme temperatures, with the heat persisting continuously until Wednesday evening.

Regional Alert Breakdown

Red alert (extreme heat stress):

In effect from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM
Beit She'an Valley, Kinneret Basin, Jordan Valley, northern and southern Judean Desert, Dead Sea area, and northern Arava.

Orange alert (very severe heat stress):

Active from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Southern Golan Heights, eastern Lower Galilee, Hula Valley, northeastern Samaria, and northwestern and western Negev.
In the eastern Negev, Eilat Gulf, and southern Arava, the orange alert extends until 11:00 PM.

Yellow alert (severe heat stress):

In effect from morning through evening hours

Along the coastal plain (northern, central, and southern sections), the Shfelah lowlands, Mount Carmel, Jezreel Valley, northern and southern Samaria, western Lower Galilee, and southern Negev and Eilat mountains.
