Retired Colonel Guy Hazut, former head of the Ground Forces Command's learning division, spoke this morning on Radio 103FM about the multiple fronts Israel is currently managing.

Addressing American involvement in Israeli decision-making, Hazut stated: "Due to mistaken decisions made at the senior political and military levels in managing this war, we find ourselves in a situation where the American administration has taken from our hands the decisions regarding our own fate, and not only in the Gaza sector."

He characterized this development as "one of the major failures of this war."

Hazut further argued that "in this war, we have struggled to translate tremendous tactical achievements on the battlefield that the IDF has accomplished into strategic gains."

"We have neglected the art of warfare, which is an entire world unto itself in which, unfortunately, many of the people making the decisions are not sufficiently versed," he said.
