That report claimed that one Muslim-majority country had advised another Muslim nation to sign a peace agreement with Israel now, but to launch a war later when conditions were more favorable.
The exchange began when Israeli commentator Itzik Elrov posted on social media: "I hear that Netanyahu is leaking against 'a Middle Eastern country' (Egypt) to tarnish its reputation in the public eye, because of all the Qatar-related matters that have stuck to him and his office. He just forgets that he has a ton of butter on his head, because if Egypt is dangerous to state security—why did he approve the Germans selling attack submarines to Egypt, and even hid this approval from the IDF Chief of Staff and the Defense Minister? When this Pandora's box opens, the Qatar and advisers affair will pale in comparison to this insane scandal."
In response, Urich wrote simply: "It's not about Egypt." The comment appeared to reveal which country was not involved in the original report—information that had not been publicly confirmed—raising questions about whether classified details had been inadvertently disclosed.
