Nine Prison Evaders Caught in North Israel

Joint operation by Israel Prison Service and police apprehends individuals who failed to report for court-ordered sentences

Nine Prison Evaders Arrested in Northern Israel Enforcement Operation

A joint enforcement operation conducted last week across northern Israel resulted in the arrest of nine individuals who had failed to report to serve their prison sentences. The Israel Prison Service (IPS), working alongside Israel Police, deployed combined forces to locate and apprehend those evading court-ordered incarceration. They were transferred to detention facilities to begin serving their sentences.

The coordinated effort involved extensive deployment of personnel across the region, including IPS intelligence investigators from the Yamar unit, district-level IPS investigators, and Israel Police forces operating in the northern district. Teams conducted targeted tracking operations, focused surveillance, and arrests of individuals who had ignored judicial rulings requiring their imprisonment.

The IPS emphasized its commitment to continue working with Israel Police to locate prison evaders and ensure they serve their sentences as mandated by law.
