Israeli singer Omer Adam and his fiancée Sasha Israelovich are in the final stages of preparing for their upcoming wedding celebration in Italy, but a small logistical issue has required them to adjust their post-wedding plans.
According to reports in Israeli media, the couple discovered that Portofino, the picturesque coastal town where their wedding festivities will take place, does not have an established Jewish community that could accommodate their plans for Shabbat Chatan, the celebration traditionally held after a Jewish wedding. The solution they've found is to travel to the nearby city of Genoa, which has an active Jewish community and synagogues where they can properly observe the special Shabbat following their marriage ceremony.
