Residents of the Tel Talpiot outpost in the West Bank presented their account of Saturday's events following the end of Shabbat, describing what they characterized as a planned provocation. According to the settlers, dozens of masked Palestinians from the nearby village of Kusra, accompanied by foreign media crews, staged what they called a deliberate ambush on the hilltop during Shabbat afternoon. The Palestinians threw stones at residents, erected roadblocks using stones and burning tires on access routes, all while cameras documented the Israeli response, the settlers said.
"Once again, the media systematically exploits Shabbat and defames the settlers who are prevented from responding," residents of the outpost stated. "This incident was a violent provocation by the enemy, planned from beginning to end."
