Shas Chairman Deri accepts directive from Council of Torah Sages, to convene faction meeting

Shas Chairman Rabbi Aryeh Deri announced he is accepting an "unequivocal directive" from the Council of Torah Sages, stating he was raised to obey the guidance of Torah sages throughout his public service. Deri thanked the rabbis for their trust and support over the years. He said he will convene a faction meeting tomorrow with Knesset members and senior local authority representatives to "draw lessons from recent events" and advance the movement forward.
