Security teams at Ben Gurion Airport detained six ultra-Orthodox passengers attempting to fly abroad after discovering they were legally barred from leaving the country. The Israel Airports Authority reported that two were apprehended at Terminal 1, while four others were stopped at Terminal 3.
All six travelers were transferred to the Israel Population and Immigration Authority for processing. Upon investigation, officials determined that each individual had outstanding military conscription orders that legally prohibited them from departing Israel. Under Israeli law, these orders create a travel ban, and the men were not permitted to board their outbound flights.
