Syrian President Ahmad al-Shara arrives in Saudi Arabia with high-level delegation

Syrian President Ahmad al-Shara arrived in Saudi Arabia leading a delegation that includes the foreign minister, defense minister, finance minister, industry minister, and intelligence chief. Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman welcomed al-Shara. In recent weeks, Syria's foreign minister stated the country is considering joining the "Maka" defense alliance, whose members include Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Turkey.
