The Tel Aviv District Prosecutor's Office filed an indictment Wednesday against a 39-year-old Ramat Gan resident suspected of breaking into a café in central Tel Aviv during the Rosh Hashanah holiday.

According to the Israel Police Spokesperson, the incident occurred on September 13 during Rosh Hashanah, when a nighttime report was received about a break-in at a café in a shopping center in central Tel Aviv. The suspect allegedly kicked in the wooden door of the establishment, breaking its frame, entered the premises, and stole approximately 700 shekels in cash along with additional property.

Officers from the Lev Tel Aviv station in the Yarkon district launched intensive efforts to identify the suspect. Yarkon district crime scene investigators arrived at the location and gathered findings from the scene.

As part of the operation, and with assistance from municipal patrol officers of the Tel Aviv-Jaffa SELA unit, the suspect was located shortly after the incident and arrested. The 39-year-old Ramat Gan resident was transferred for questioning at the police station, where he was interrogated.

Following the investigation, the Tel Aviv District Prosecutor's Office filed an indictment against the suspect, along with a request for his detention until the completion of legal proceedings. The indictment includes charges of breaking and entering and theft.
