A tourist vessel operating river and coastal tours caught fire off the coast of Kütahya province in Turkey, with authorities estimating more than 100 people were on board at the time. The cause of the fire remains unknown, and the fate of those aboard has not yet been confirmed.

The vessel had departed on what was described as a standard tour around the provincial coastline. Typically used as a tourist attraction for river and coastal excursions, the boat has a passenger capacity exceeding 100 people. Turkish authorities estimate that as many as 114 people may have been on board when the fire erupted, placing their lives in danger.

The source of the blaze has not been determined, and information about the condition of passengers and crew remains unclear. The intense flames have caused the vessel to begin sinking, and rescue teams are currently operating at the scene.
