Trump announces agreement with Putin for Russia to supply diesel fuel to U.S. and global markets
President Donald Trump announced he concluded a discussion with Russian President Vladimir Putin in which Russia agreed to immediately supply over 300,000 tons of diesel fuel to American and global markets, followed by 500,000 tons in November and 1 million tons thereafter. Trump stated Russia will then deliver 3 million tons of diesel fuel within a short period, based on the condition of their refineries. Trump said diesel prices for Americans and the world "will be coming down, in record numbers, and fast," citing U.S. control of the Strait of Hormuz and the Russian energy announcement. He emphasized lower prices for farmers, ranchers, and truckers as his "greatest priority." Trump also stated "Iran will not have a Nuclear Weapon."
