Trump announces execution plan for Fort Hood shooter Nidal Hasan, will not be broadcast live

President Trump announced that Nidal Malik Hasan, the former U.S. Army major convicted of killing 13 people in the 2009 Fort Hood shooting, will be executed by firing squad but the execution will not be broadcast publicly. Trump stated that while broadcasting could serve as a deterrent, many prefer not to witness the death. Family members of victims will be permitted to attend the execution in person if they choose. Hasan was convicted of murdering 13 people, including a pregnant soldier, and wounding 32 others in the attack.
