According to reports, Trump is receiving an intelligence briefing in the West Wing alongside Vice President J.D. Vance, White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, and Gusset Waqin.

The Republican Party is holding an unusual two-day event dubbed "Trump-a-Palooza," designed to position Trump at the center of the fall 2026 midterm elections. The gathering combines a campaign rally with a fundraising event, aiming to energize voters heading into the final stretch amid the president's low approval ratings.

The event's schedule makes clear this is a showcase entirely devoted to Trump, unlike the traditional quadrennial political conventions held to nominate candidates.
