Covert Security Operation

Trump Evacuated from Turkey via Truck

U.S. Secret Service detected imminent Iranian threat and executed elaborate deception operation using Air Force One as decoy while president was transferred to military aircraft

President Donald Trump was evacuated from Turkey last month in an extraordinary intelligence deception operation, the Washington Post revealed late Tuesday night. The covert maneuver saw Air Force One serve merely as a decoy while the president was secretly transferred to a different military aircraft, following intelligence indicating an imminent and targeted Iranian assassination threat.

According to the report, the unusual incident occurred in Ankara following a NATO summit, one day after U.S. Central Command resumed military strikes against Iranian targets. American intelligence agencies had identified Iranian intentions either to harm the president directly or to shoot down his aircraft, prompting the Secret Service to execute the clandestine operation to safely extract Trump to Britain.

The covert operation unfolded with Trump arriving at the Ankara airport and walking across a red carpet in full public view. The president climbed the visible stairs to Air Force One and waved goodbye to journalists, photographers, and media crews accompanying him—exactly as presidential protocol dictates.

But shortly after entering the aircraft in front of cameras, he and a small number of senior advisers were moved to the plane's opposite, hidden door. A catering company supply truck was positioned against that rear door, raising its cargo bay using a hydraulic lift.

Trump and his minimal entourage passed through the covered truck compartment and descended without any observers—including the journalists who remained aboard the presidential plane—noticing. The president and his small team were quickly transferred to a nearby C-32A military aircraft, which took off under an ordinary military call sign.

More than anything, this signals that Trump is really taking Iran's threats against his life seriously.
