U.S. Central Command rejects Iranian claim of controlling Strait of Hormuz

U.S. Central Command dismissed claims by Iran's Revolutionary Guards Navy commander that Iran controls the Strait of Hormuz. CENTCOM stated that the Iranian commander "does not have a navy" and that the U.S. and its partners control the strait. The command noted that more than 19 million barrels of oil were transported through the strait yesterday.
