U.S. surges military assets to Middle East as regional tensions escalate

The U.S. is deploying significant military assets to the Middle East, with three aircraft carrier strike groups expected in the region soon—USS George Washington and USS George H.W. Bush already deployed, and USS Theodore Roosevelt en route. Additional cargo aircraft, aerial refueling tankers, and air defense systems are also being sent. The deployment comes amid escalating tensions: Houthis are striking airports and energy infrastructure in Saudi Arabia and Yemen, Iran has sunk two commercial vessels and continues attacking shipping, and the IRGC is threatening U.S. warships. President Trump stated "We're going to have Iran defeated very quickly." Netanyahu is convening a high-level security meeting as Israel remains on high alert.
