Nur a-Shams Operation Over; 12 Terrorists Eliminated

The fight against terrorism continues. During an operation conducted the last 24 hours in the Nur a-Shams refugee camp in Tulkarm, security forces killed 12 terrorists and arrested over 20 terror suspects. Master Sergeant Maxim Rezhnikov, a Special Border Police fighter, was killed during the fighting.

In a broad operation spanning over 24 hours to stop terrorism emanating from the Nur a-Shams refugee camp in the city of Tulkarm, located in the Menasheh regional brigade area, Kfir Brigade operated with Duvdevan, Special Border Guard and Border Guard forces worked based on precise intelligence direction from the Shin Bet. The forces detained and interrogated dozens of suspects and arrested over 20 suspected of being involved in terror activity. The forces located and destroyed a number of bomb laboratories, and exposed dozens of bombs ready to be used against our forces.

In addition, an aircraft struck at a terrorist squad and hit it. During the operation, the fighters of the Duvdevan unit located a car bomb containing a number of bombs and military equipment, and destroyed it. The Charuv recon unit encountered a terrorist and killed him. At the end of an exchange of fire, the soldiers confiscated a Carlo gun used by the terrorist. Engineering forces also exposed the walls of the command building used by the camp suspects and prevented them from hiding there, neutralized bombs in the area, and endangered the security forces.

The Eli Gas Station Terrorist’s Home is Demolished

During the night, security forces destroyed the apartment of terrorist Khaled Sabah in the village of Urif in the Samaria region, identified as a Hamas terrorist who committed the shooting attack at the Eli gas station, where a number of Israeli citizens were killed and others wounded.

Furthermore, multiple IDF, Shin Bet, and Border Guard forces operated in many locations throughout Judea and Samaria to stop terrorism tonight, arresting 60 suspected of involvement in terrorist activity and confiscating many weapons. 40 of them are members of the Hamas terror organization.

Since the beginning of the war, 584 suspects have been arrested in the Judea and Samaria regional division area and that of the Bik’ah and Valleys brigade area, 375 of whom are affiliated with the Hamas terrorist organization. Over 50 weapons were confiscated by defense forces.
