WATCH: Forced to Thank Their Captors: Hamas Makes Released Israeli Soldiers

Hamas released footage today showing the orchestrated handover of four female Israeli soldiers held captive for 477 days. The video shows Karina Ariev, Daniella Gilboa, Naama Levy, and Liri Albag being given "release forms," framed certificates, and Palestinian flag keychains before their transfer.

Karina Ariev (20), Daniella Gilboa (20), Naama Levy (20), and Liri Albag (19) appeared in good physical condition as Hamas staged their release in central Gaza City. The women, originally captured from Nahal Oz military base, were escorted by Red Cross officials before reuniting with their families at an IDF facility near Re'im.

Israel criticized Hamas for orchestrating a "cynical ceremony" where the hostages were presented on stage before a crowd. The hostages were made to wear identification badges on Palestinian-themed lanyards and speak Arabic thanking Hamas. The footage captures their appearance at a crowded Gaza City square, where a Red Cross official signed transfer documents before the women were driven away in Red Cross vehicles.

Hamas gives hostages 'certificates of achievement'

The IDF noted that Hamas had violated the agreement by releasing soldiers before all civilian hostages, particularly Arbel Yehud, who remains in captivity.

In response, Israel has postponed plans to allow Palestinian civilians to return to northern Gaza. The government demands Yehud's release be "arranged" before proceeding with the next phase of the deal.

The exchange will see Israel free 200 Palestinian prisoners, including some serving life sentences. Around 70 will face deportation to Turkey, Algeria, and Tunisia, while others will return to Gaza and the West Bank.

"Their medical condition is normal," IDF officials stated after initial examinations. The women will undergo further medical and psychological assessments before hospital transfer.

Approximately 87 hostages remain in Gaza, including at least 34 confirmed dead by the IDF. Hamas is expected to provide details about the status of 26 remaining captives this weekend.
