A suspected ramming attack was reported at Git Junction near Kedumim earlier today.
- IDF forces identified a Palestinian vehicle accelerating toward them and believed it was an attempted ramming attack.
- The force opened fire at the Palestinian driver and killed him.
- As a result of the IDF fire, an Israeli youth, about 20 years old, was severely wounded.
It appears the Palestinian did, in fact, attempt to ram the force, and it was likely an attempted ramming attack, but the attempt did not succeed, and the injured Israeli was wounded only by IDF fire.
Large numbers of IDF forces were deployed immediately to the location.
Initial reports described the attack as a deliberate ramming, with emergency services officials trying to stabilize the victim now.
Authorities are still investigating the circumstances and the identity of the attacker.
