IDF Givati Forces Seize Loaded Hezbollah Launchers in Lebanon Raid

IDF forces operating in southern Lebanon have uncovered a significant Hezbollah weapons cache, including loaded rocket launchers positioned to strike Israeli troops and territory. The discovery underscores the ongoing threat posed by the terror organization's embedded infrastructure along Israel's northern border.

Givati reconnaissance forces conducted a targeted raid on a Hezbollah launch complex in southern Lebanon on Monday, the IDF announced. The operation yielded dozens of rockets and an array of combat equipment that had been staged for attacks against Israeli forces operating in the region.

Arsenal Primed for Attack

The seized weaponry included Kalashnikov assault rifles, rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) launchers, and specialized combat gear utilized by Hezbollah operatives. Most critically, troops located multiple rocket launchers already loaded and aimed directly at IDF positions in southern Lebanon and toward Israeli territory.

The discovery of pre-positioned, ready-to-fire launchers highlights Hezbollah's strategy of maintaining concealed launch sites throughout the border region, enabling rapid strikes with minimal preparation time. Such installations pose a persistent threat to both military forces and civilian communities in northern Israel.

Casualties in Separate Engagement

The weapons seizure came as two Givati reconnaissance soldiers sustained moderate injuries in a separate clash with Hezbollah terrorists earlier in the day. According to the IDF Spokesperson's Unit, the troops were engaged by several armed operatives who opened fire on their position.

The wounded soldiers were evacuated for medical treatment at a hospital, and their families have been notified. IDF forces responded with direct fire toward the attackers, while Israeli Air Force aircraft struck military structures and an anti-tank position belonging to the terror organization in the area.

Systematic Dismantling of Terror Infrastructure

The Givati operation is part of a broader IDF campaign to systematically dismantle Hezbollah's military capabilities in southern Lebanon. Recent operations have focused on destroying underground tunnel networks and eliminating weapons stockpiles embedded in civilian areas.

Over the past 24 hours, forces from the 7th Brigade Combat Team, operating under the 36th Division, eliminated ten armed terrorists in multiple engagements across southern Lebanon. Additional units located and destroyed terror infrastructure including weapons caches, military buildings, and command posts.
