Israeli police have released dramatic new details and security camera footage documenting the immediate aftermath of the shocking murder at the Chazon Ish Kollel in Bnei Brak three weeks ago, revealing how the suspect fled through city streets before discarding the murder weapon and blood-stained evidence in an abandoned building.
The investigation into the May 20 stabbing attack, which claimed the life of a 52-year-old kollel member in front of his 13-year-old son, has now concluded. Police announced Thursday they have submitted a prosecutor's declaration against the 45-year-old homeless suspect, with formal murder charges expected to be filed within days.
According to newly released investigative findings, the suspect, a homeless man with a documented psychiatric history, launched an unprovoked assault on the victim during midday hours at the kollel on HaAri Street. Witnesses reported the attacker stabbed the victim multiple times without warning before fleeing the scene on foot.
