Israeli MK Ahmad Tibi tells Al Mayadeen Herzog will task Eisenkot with forming government

Knesset Member Ahmad Tibi from the Joint List told Lebanese channel Al Mayadeen that President Herzog will first task Eisenkot with forming the government. Tibi said Eisenkot should establish a minority government and that the Joint List is ready to replace the Knesset Speaker as a first step. He expressed concern Bennett may join Netanyahu's camp and stated the opposition must bring down Netanyahu. Tibi claimed Netanyahu seeks regional escalation to force Eisenkot into a unity government, and suggested Herzog wants a government term ending with a pardon for Netanyahu. He added that a government led by Eisenkot "will not be our dream government and will not fundamentally change Israel's policy in the region."
