Gal Moreno, widow of IDF reservist Itai Moreno who was killed in combat at Kibbutz Zikim, married Neriya Leibowitz this week.
The couple announced their engagement several months ago. At the time, Moreno shared photos of her fiancé along with a poetic message: "Like the sun warming the Arava desert, like rain adorning the sea with every ripple, like a falling star sacrificing itself for a wish, so our paths crossed at the right point. Like an olive tree gradually spreading its branches, like the moon lighting my way in darkness, like clouds raining on the good earth, so my soul speaks love to you. I have been blessed to discover that the heart knows how to expand and love again. Thank G-d, we are engaged."
