Fire and rescue crews from the Kiryot station, together with the Special Rescue Unit (Yalam) and a crane from Haifa, carried out a complex high-altitude rescue Monday on Yitzchak Rabin Street in Kiryat Ata.

The 102 emergency center received a report of a construction worker in his 50s who had fallen during work on the seventh floor and landed on his back, suffering a severe back injury and unable to move.

When crews arrived and completed a rapid assessment, they decided to carry out a rescue at height. The incident commander ordered a Magen David Adom paramedic lifted in the crane's specialized basket directly to the seventh floor, where he provided life-saving initial medical treatment to the injured man.

Firefighters then carefully secured the injured worker to a specialized stretcher and lowered him safely to the ground using the crane.

The worker was transferred to medical personnel for further treatment and evacuation. He was conscious, in stable condition and not bleeding.
