Omer Adam Weds in Italy Ceremony

Chabad emissaries officiate ceremony

As previously reported, the couple was married by Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Chazan, a Chabad emissary in Milan, Italy, and Rabbi Mendy Gurevitch, a Chabad emissary in Mishmar HaShiva, an Israeli community. The two rabbis stood alongside the couple during the central moment of the event, with guest Osher Cohen joining to recite the seventh blessing under the chuppah.

The couple had already signed their ketubah (Jewish marriage contract) two days earlier in a small ceremony in a fishing village, as Israelovich shared. That signing took place before friends and family in a much more intimate gathering than the crowd that arrived at the historic monastery, which has sat on a cliff overlooking the Mediterranean Sea since the 14th century.

Special musical surprise

The evening's major musical surprise was reportedly a performance by Andrea Bocelli, one of the world's most successful and sought-after singers. According to sources close to the couple, Adam and Bocelli performed one of the Italian tenor's songs together, after the two met several weeks ago and rehearsed for the joint performance, which had been kept out of the spotlight until now.

Bocelli has previously participated in one of the world's most talked-about weddings, performing at Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's Florence ceremony in 2014. Years later, his name was even at the center of a dispute between the Kardashian sisters after Kourtney booked him to perform at her wedding to Travis Barker in Portofino in 2022.

Guests from across Israel

The guest list flown in on the private plane included many familiar names from Israeli culture and entertainment. Among the close friends who came to celebrate were musician Aviv Geffen and his wife Sharon Kaufman, as well as Shai and Eran Zahavi. The celebrities were joined by close family members, including Omer's grandfather, Shmuel Adam, who arrived with his grandmother.

Before takeoff, guests heard an amusing recording from Yaniv Adam, Omer's father, who delivered detailed instructions to guests with characteristic humor. "If it were up to me, I wouldn't have ordered you a plane and I wouldn't have ordered you accommodation. I wouldn't have invited you at all," Yaniv began the recording, adding: "I remind you that we're marrying into a European, aristocratic family. They don't know your character, and there's a chance they'll be a bit frightened by your appearance, so behave accordingly."

The celebrations in Italy are continuing over several days, with the couple choosing to hold the event in Italy where Israelovich's family resides. The lavish event at the historic monastery joins a long list of celebrity weddings held at the distinctive venue.
