President Donald Trump said the United States may join Saudi strikes against Yemen's Iran-backed Houthis after the group's latest attack on the kingdom. Travelers are already feeling the impact. On Friday, the Associated Press reported that Air India, FlyDubai, Lufthansa Group and Pakistan International Airlines had suspended flights to and from Riyadh and other Saudi airports for the next few days.

"We will examine the matter. We have only just learned about the latest attack. We will make a decision. We are acting very quickly," Trump said, in remarks carried by Abu Ali Express.

The Houthis have repeatedly targeted King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh. Recently, two attacks on the airport on Thursday killed three Saudi nationals, including a Saudia pilot. Saudi Arabia's General Authority of Civil Aviation said the first strike hit airport facilities and the second hit a Saudia aircraft. The Houthis claimed the attacks.

On Saturday, a missile struck a passenger terminal at the same airport, two regional officials said. Many people were wounded. The airport was evacuated, and flights were diverted or canceled.

The Houthis have also told civilian airlines that Saudi airspace is now an active zone for their missile forces, with only the skies above Mecca and Medina exempted. The group said the warning would remain in force until the "aggression and blockade on Yemen ends."
